Pave Diamond Engagement Rings

"Pave" (pronounced pa-vey) simply means "paved". Pave engagement rings feature accent diamonds set close enough together that the overall effect is of a continuous surface of diamonds. Pave settings usually incorporate very small accent diamonds, and for that reason, can be an excellent value as well. Our diamond pave engagement rings are especially popular in white gold and platinum, where the diamond and metal surface blend more seamlessly than in yellow or rose gold. One possible drawback of pave settings is that re-sizing can be difficult if the pave treatment is present all the way around the ring. For this reason, consider options where the pave surface is present only on the upper half of the setting. This allows the ring to be resized from the bottom, if necessary.
